Amsterdam in December

We figured after we'd already made the trip over the Atlantic to go to Barcelona that we just had to stop by Amsterdam!  (really we look for any excuse to go visit!) 

It was a short visit, but we had a great time!  It was so fun to watch Kai explore and play with all of his cousins.  At Oma's house Kai had some quality play with Maya and Robin.

Kai had a blast on Lichar's old bicycle.  (named Brombrom by Lich)

Most of our days looked like this.....full of play, play and more play!  It was so fun to watch all the kids together.

We were doing everything in our power to get them to smile.  Instead we get these looks--translated, "You guys are crazy!"

We got to have dinner at Robin's brand new house!

We also made time for a trip downtown.  I got my favorite---fries!

At Leidsplein (one of our favorite stops), it was all decorated for Christmas.

They had an ice skating rink set up.  Kai loved watching people skate.

He was also mesmerized by this bright tree. 

It was very beautiful; really put you in the Christmas mood.

After our trip downtown, we headed for an evening with Maya.

Kai was so excited, a whole new set of new toys at every house!

The cousins...Kai, Maya, Jace, Robin, Jaden and Tirzah
