Patio

Our patio has recently undergone a major transformation.  I know it is probably boring to most of you, but I have been thoroughly entertained by the process.  Thus, I feel the need to blog.  (and you can skip it if you find it boring--I'll never know!)

Actually, it's been through lots of changes since we've lived here!  Here is what it looked like when we first moved in.

Watering the plants.  (I'm not so good at that, but it was new, and everything was alive, so I was extra motivated)

Actually not a bad little patio....

After a few years, it started to look a little sad.  Then Ike came....and made a bigger mess.

So we decided to pull out the decking.  For some reason the only picture I have of our updates was at night.  This made it much better, but it still needed some work.

And here it is right before the major makeover. 

Not sure if you can see the loose boards, but let's just say I was nervous to walk under the overhang part!

Here it is with no siding!  They had to put a blue tarp over it because it was clouding up.  Good thing, it did rain!

Pouring the cement.  This was my favorite day.  Not only were these guys NOT banging on the house, it was so fun to watch. 

Here they are adding the "color" to the concrete.

And here is Poppy helping us break in the new patio.

K thinks it is awesome!  Yea!!  Now if it will just cool off a bit, we'll be out there all the time!
