Mailee--5 months

Yes, I am two months behind.  :(  Here is what she was up to at 5 months.

She is quite determined, and while still pretty easy going....when she does something, she goes at it 110%.

She puts everything in her mouth.

I guess the bear didn't taste so good.

She must have found her tongue, because she has it out ALL the time.

This month she moved back into our room because when she woke up at night, she was waking up Kaiden too.  Now everyone is sleeping better.

You thought I was kidding about the tongue?

She is definitely MY little girl.  When I'm not around, she is fine.  When I walk in the room, suddenly she desperately needs to be held by me.  It is really great to be loved so much!

And the tongue--one more time!

She went on her fourth flight.  This one was to Florida to see the last shuttle launch--STS 135.  (more details coming soon)  She was just four months and 3 days old here.
Oh yeah, if you go anywhere with her, expect to make lots of new friends with Little Miss Social!

Here we are with Deana at the last shuttle launch.

She is always laughing at her brother.  He doesn't always know what to say to her, so sometimes he just gives her his best, "ROAAAARRRRRR!"  Fortunately she thinks that is funny too.  These two just LOVE each other!!!

I just love this outfit.

I really love these dimples!

This picture cracks me up.  Mailee almost never falls asleep for Lichar.  When he tries to get her to sleep she just cries and fights him.  When she sees me, she will give this little laugh/cry like, "Do you see this?  He does it all wrong, please come save me!!"  (as I mentioned above, she is pretty much my baby.)  But, I came home one evening to find her asleep like this.  Evidently she was sitting on his lap like this and just finally fell asleep.

She loves to look at herself in the mirror.

At the STS 135 crew return.  The last one.  :(

Another of my favorite outfits.  She is laughing more--but her laugh is more of an open mouthed chuckle.  If you want a long lasting belly laugh, you have to work pretty hard.

This little girl loves being on her tummy.  You will almost never see her on her back, and if you do catch her there, it won't be for long.

She is getting good at grabbing things, and she's making enough forward movement that we have to be careful and make sure there is a "Mailee-safe" radius around her.

She is very serious about her chewing.

One of her first times sitting up.

I love those chubby legs.

This was her first time eating something besides milk.

Even though we got this face, she went back for more...so I guess she liked it!

We can't put her in the Bumbo anymore because she does this.  She has tipped it over twice at school and once for us.

She has been sticking her tongue out so much that I really wanted to get a good picture of it.

Granted I was trying to get a picture of it....but realized I had a lot of them, so I counted and I have 84 pictures with her tongue out.  EIGHTY-FOUR.  I am not exaggerating.  The girl has her tongue out A LOT!!  I think she got that from Grandmom.  Grandmom always had her tongue out during a task.

Sometimes she has it curled up so good I swear you could use it as a hook.

I won't post all 84, but here are some of my favorites.

She loves to chew on this bear.

One afternoon I took her to WalMart.  I noticed people kept looking at us and smiling.  I pulled out my phone to take a picture of her and this is what I saw.  Little Miss Social was smiling and talking to everyone in the store.  By the time we left, we'd made several new friends.

I cracked up when that tongue came out again before I put the phone away!
