My "Mailee-Moo" is 6 months. Where does the time go?
She is already ready to take on the world! She is excellent at sitting up now.
She is definitely mobile now...army crawling everywhere! I had a hard time getting some good shots of her because she kept doing this.
I gave up on my pose and decided to take some of her the way she is most of the time anyway--on her tummy. This girl is seldom on her back, and even now when she can sit up nicely, she still prefers to be on her tummy.
She is interested in everything!!!
She is a very lovey little girl. When I am feeding her she is always rubbing her hand along my arm or chest. Sadly though, wayyyy too often those sweet "love pats" turn in to a pinch! I know those hands are small, but they are strong! (and they are excellent at pulling my hair as well....she can find that one lone strand of hair almost anytime--it drives me crazy!)
Look at that ornery face. :)
Since I had to go back to work she has started going to school with Kaiden. She has transitioned pretty well! One day I went to pick her up and her teacher asked me, "Does she not like people in her personal space?" She asked this as Kaiden was nose-to-nose with her with both kids laughing. I just looked at them and said, "Ummm, as evidenced here--No." Turns out Mailee evidently didn't like two of the boys in her class as she would cry everytime they got near!!! (to give her a little credit, they are much older, walking, and a little rambunctious)
Still loves to play in the exersaucer.
She likes to chew...and if nothing is available, well....she finds a way!
Kaiden and Mailee still absolutely LOVE each other. Kaiden really likes to play with her. Here he was covering up her head and playing "Peek-a-Boo" with her. I'm not so sure she thought this game was all that fun.
But he thought it was hilarious!!!!
I love this one. I didn't tell him to put his arm around her, he just did it.
He always has such sweet kisses for her. I am just eating up the fact that they love each other so much--I hope it never changes, but I'm preparing for that day....
Kaiden eating his favorite (chicken burrito) from Taco Bell. He loves the green sauce there. This kid loves any sauce!
Mailee has started eating cereal and loves it. She tries to grabs the spoon from us and shove it to her face. (I guess we just aren't fast enough)
Since she likes to feed herself, she also seems to wear as much as she eats.
Yes, from head to toes, she is covered!
It is fun to be such a mess!!!
I'm not sure how much she actually ate here. We haven't found a solid food yet that she doesn't like.
After cereal, we always take a bath!
Ahhhhh, bath time! She loves her baths!
My sister claims it is easier to give her 75 pound lab a bath than it is to give Mailee a bath. Although I've never actually tried to bathe the dog, I think I agree.
She wiggles everywhere!
Just like her time outside of the bath, she prefers her tummy. This of course gave me heart failure for a while as I was worried sick she would inhale water and drown. I've since given up on keeping her sitting or on her back as I realized she swallowed way more water while trying to fight me to get on her tummy than she did if I just left her on her tummy!
Thus, this is what she usually looks like during bath time:
We have put the "double wide" running stroller to use and started training for a 5K. The kids love it!
She is Mommy's girl for sure. When she is alone with
Lichar, she is absolutely fine and happy. The second I walk in the
room, she starts getting upset. If I take her from Lichar, she just
smiles at him and laughs, like "Look how happy I am now!"
Playing blocks with her brother. (Mailee actually prefers to chew on them!)
Did I tell you that these two LOVE each other?!? :)
One of the few times we've found her on her back, she has been in the middle of a pile of Kaiden's blocks. She just chilled out there in the middle of all the blocks, not a care in the world!
We visited NASA for the Space Shuttle tribute. We got to visit the mock up facility, which is always a fun place to visit.
Astronaut Kaiden!
This is a dress that Ashley and I both wore when we were little. Since it is such a special dress, we had a little photo session!
She thought it looked like fun to play soccer with brother.
There's the tongue again....
She has an awesome little laugh....more like an open mouthed pant, but it is super cute!
After such a "taxing" photo shoot, Mailee needed a snack.
Peaches. Yumm!!!
Since she has become mobile, she's started doing this little pose. It is her way of stopping to check things out along her way, but it just makes me smile!! She even has her toe pointed!
The month ended with my birthday. Wow, my crew knows me well....couldn't ask for any more to celebrate another trip around the sun!
