Mailee--9 months

9 months already!  This is the ONE cute picture I got of her in this outfit.

Then she got mad because I wouldn't let her crawl around.

Then she had to come check out what I was doing.

And pull down my sign...

She has started clapping! (but of course I have no good pictures of that)

She is still posing for us!

She has a great sense of humor.  She likes to play "steal the paci" with us.  We will steal her paci and try to keep it from her.  She thinks that is hilarious!  She likes it so much that some weekend mornings when we put her in bed with us (hoping she will go back to sleep) we will wake up to the paci being shoved in our face as she is trying to start the game.

She has also taken an interest in Kaiden's bed.  Well, to be fair, it is an interest in climbing on his bed.

Let's be honest, she has an interest in climbing on just about anything!

She did at least start using the walker to walk around. (and not just for climbing)

It is lots of fun to walk around!

But really more fun to climb ON!

She likes to "chase" Kaiden around the house.  She will crawl around and Kaiden will run and run.  Sometimes we will pick her up and carry her as we chase Kaiden.  She loves that!

She generally doesn't mind being changed, but she always throws a fit after her baths. 

She tries to roll over successfully rolls over and then climbs all over the changing table.  It makes it super easy to change her.  (that would be the sarcasm font)

She is very ticklish--on her ribs, thighs, neck and feet.

She loves to play with the door stops.

I wasn't joking about her interest in climbing!

She loves getting in Kaiden's chair....

...falling out head first (clearly it is more fun that way!) and then starting all over again!  She continues to dive off the couch, even though she's also shown that she knows how to turn around and go with her feet first.

If I had to make any predicitions, I'd say that this girl is going to love roller coasters.  She loves to be thrown and tossed around.

She is eating more and more solid foods now.  She is not near as interested in "her" food anymore.  If we are eating it, she thinks she should be too.  Here she is chomping on an apple.

She is very proud of her "big" food!  One of her favorites is sweet potatoes.

And Kaiden has started to help feed her!  Horray!

I'm honestly not sure who enjoyed this more--Mailee, Kaiden or Mommy!

One of her habits is to eat and then rub her (very messy) hands through her hair.  Bath time is essential if you let her feed herself!

She celebrated her first Sinterklaas. (more on that in another blog)

We got a package from Oma for Sinterklaas.  Mailee thought it was awesome even before 

we opened it!

I explained last month that sometimes she likes to get a little fresh.   Here we have photographic evidence!  She just likes to have her hands against skin....what can I say?

She helped us make the l-o-n-g drive up to Amarillo for Thanksgiving (more on that in another post)

"Hey, Get out of the way!!!!"

Besides yelling at cars, she's also been saying lots of "Pop, Pop."  (Which makes Poppy very happy!)  We also swear she says "Jack" when he comes to visit.  She has started to make a clicking noise with her tongue.  Kaiden thinks that is hilarious because Daddy can't do that!

Playing the piano with brother.  She loves to play the piano and has even managed to turn it on by herself several times.

She even "helped" us hang the Christmas lights on the house.

She worked so hard that she needed a little snack.

Here we have the real light crew.  Kaiden was a big help!  He was great at handing Daddy the hangers that hold the lights.  He loved helping Daddy!
