TWO

I can't believe he is already TWO!  He was very excited about his "birthday brownie" on his actual birthday.  He saw the brownie and pointed to his tray and said, "right here!"  I wanted to make sure he would blow out his candles, so we practiced that.  Turns out he is a pro--no practice needed!

Here are all the things I want to remember about my two year old:

He is a very lovey and kind hearted boy.  He gives us a kiss (unprompted) when he accidentally hurts us or we hurt ourselves.  One day I hit my knee getting into the car and he asked "You Ok, Momma?" all the way home.

He puts things "away" often without us asking.  He likes doors and cabinets "closed."  Lately he has kept every door in the house closed.  As I was putting away groceries one day, he asked for me to pick him up so he could close the pantry door.

He loves to count things.  He usually counts two or three of everything (regardless of how many there really are!)  "One, treeee, one treeee!"

He is all boy.  He loves to (fake) fall down and say "whoaaaa."  He loves to wrestle, tickle and throw himself around.  When one of us "gets" him, he says "I gotchooo Daddy" or "I gotchooo Mommy!"

He is very observant and perceptive.  Recently he's started having "real" conversations with us.  When I reminded him that he could wear his birthday shirt for his birthday, he told me all about washing it and getting it "all clean" and that he would be "two!"

He loves to run.

He loves music.  He will ask us to turn on the radio in the car if it isn't on.  If it is on, he sometimes asks us to turn it up.  (He does so by saying "dance" or just starting to dance)

He likes to find a stage (any raised surface) and sing or dance on it.  A favorite is Tante and Uncle's fireplace.

He makes great faces...

He loves sweets.

He likes to have his shoes and socks ON.

I love it that his vocabulary includes words like "rocket" and "liftoff."  His favorite phrases:  "I fall down!"  "I got it!"  "Whoooaaa"  "RUN, Daddy, RUN Mommy"

He says "Thank you" without prompting.

He loves to play in the bath.

He is a lot like his daddy.  They like to play video games and ride cars or motorcycles.

Kaiden loves this flight simulator.  "Airpane?" He will sit forever with Lichar and dictate what Lichar should do with the planes.   He really likes to land the planes in water.

But more than that he likes to choose which plane to fly.  (I wish you could see the screen here, but it is full of planes and helicopters)  I think they spend more time picking the "right" plane than they do flying.

Really, they like to play just about anything...

He also likes to work out with Daddy.  Complete with grunts and groans!

He got a big boy bed and thought it was awesome!

Of course his favorite part is that he can get in and out all by himself.

As of today (Feb. 6), he has slept in it for three nights!  He stayed in it all night--and even slept in until 8:45, 9:15 and 9:30!!!

He is still such a laid back and happy guy almost all of the time.  I don't know how we got so lucky, but we love every minute of him!!!
