Mailee--One month

She has grown so much already!  And she has already proven to be a bit dramatic.  One of our favorite things she does is after she sneezes or coughs she does this very dramatic "Aghhhhhh"  It almost sounds as if she is going to sneeze/cough again, but ends with a big sigh.  We crack up every time but have yet to catch it on video. She also has some great dramatic sighs when she sleeps  :)

I can already tell this girl is going to be a thumb sucker.  When she finds her hands and manages to get them to her mouth, she goes to town!

She also already made her first trip and plane ride to Amarillo just 2 days before she turned 1 month old.  (more details to come in a separate post)  She looks thrilled, huh?

Mailee has had lots of visitors.  Here she is chatting with Christine....

...and giving her some good cuddles.

She always seems to fall asleep when she snuggles with Boggs.

Andrew came in from California just to see Mailee.

And Sue squeezed in a visit before she went on travels.

Since Mailee still likes to wake up way more than Mommy does in the middle of the night, we spend lots of our days taking naps.

Naps with Daddy are good too!

And sometimes she gets to take a nap by herself!

She really didn't enjoy her first "real" bath

There were a few moments when she didn't think it was too bad...

...but even after she got out, she thought it was just terrible!

She had a little talk with Momma,

...and decided that life was actually OK again.  :)

I've started to get used to dressing up a little girl, but I'm still having trouble with bows.  But doesn't she look cute in this little dress?!?

And this one?

I finally gave in and put a bow on her for one of our outings...  You can tell she was thrilled again!

Kaiden still adores her.  He always lets us know when she spits up, or when she's asleep, or when she's awake, or when she's crying...

He will sit down and talk to her (usually right in her face) and say "HI!  HI baby!  Yes!"  I've realized he sounds just like me when I talk to her.  I often ask her a question and then respond with "Yea?" which he totally copies!

He still asks to hold "it" and only a few times has told us to "put baby away." (that being of course
when he wants something he knows we can't/won't do while holding Mailee)

She is a BIG hit when I go to pick up Kaiden at school.  This is ALWAYS the scene.
