The whole time we were in Amarillo it was windy, windy, WINDY! So when we looked for something to entertain Kaiden, we decided on indoor activities and headed for the Discovery Center.
I hadn't been there since my elementary school field trips, so I wasn't sure Kaiden would enjoy it. Thankfully, there was plenty to entertain us all.
Gigi's favorite was this bubble exhibit.
After some practice, she got pretty good and making some huge bubbles.
A bubble within a bubble!
Kaiden enjoyed the cool shaped climbing....thing.
This was another climbing "thing," but Kaiden wasn't interested in this one.
Kaiden also enjoyed the pretend campfire. Made himself a cup of coffee and drank it up.
Then poured a cup for Poppy,
and rode a few horses.
This was a dinosaur exhibit. The dinosaurs had sensors that detected your movement. They moved and looked at you or followed your movement. Creepy!!!
Baby dinosaurs. Thankfully not so creepy!
Kaiden was a little freaked out by them (as was I), so I tried to make him feel better by scaring it for him. REALLY not cool when a T-Rex bends down to take a good look at you as you walk up to him!
Kaiden tolerated them, but only if he was being held by someone. But who would hold me?!?
The bird exhibit was much more up his alley.
He really enjoyed watching the frogs.
Just a cute face!
And a funny face!
Mailee slept most of the time, but I managed to catch one shot of her awake.
After exploring the Discovery Center, we braved the wind long enough to check out the ducks at Medi Park.
I love Medi Park. It has hills AND trees AND water....stuff you don't find in Amarillo. (ok, it has "lots" of those things relative to Amarillo, not the rest of Texas...or anywhere.

Ahhh - brings back some good memories! I really did have a good time with the bubbles - hehe. Glad you documented all these good times.
